Breast cancer breakthrough: broccoli component zaps cells that fuel tumor growth

University of Michigan (U-M) Comprehensive Cancer Center scientists say they’ve found a compound that could help prevent and potentially treat breast cancer. It’s not a drug or a new radiation treatment but a natural component of broccoli and broccoli sprouts. And it has the remarkable ability to target cancer stem cells — the specific cells responsible for fueling the growth of cancerous breast tumors.

The researchers tested the broccoli compound, known as sulforaphane, in animal studies as well as in breast cancer cell cultures in the lab. Their findings, which were recently published in the journal Clinical Cancer Research, showed sulforaphane not only targeted and killed cancer stem cells, but it also prevented any new malignancies from growing.

What makes this such an extraordinary breakthrough? Current chemotherapies don’t do anything to stop cancer stem cells. That’s why cancer can recur and spread after chemotherapy. So many researchers have long believed that to control cancer, you have to find a way to eliminate cancer stem cells — and now it appears sulforaphane does exactly that.

“Sulforaphane has been studied previously for its effects on cancer, but this study shows that its benefit is in inhibiting the breast cancer stem cells. This new insight suggests the potential of sulforaphane or broccoli extract to prevent or treat cancer by targeting the critical cancer stem cells,” study author Duxin Sun, Ph.D., associate professor of pharmaceutical sciences at the U-M College of Pharmacy and a researcher with the U-M Comprehensive Cancer Center, said in a statement to the media. (Sure, what’s new?? … Randolph)

For their study, the U-M researchers first worked with mice with breast cancer. They used several well-documented methods to assess the number of cancer stem cells in the animals’ breast tumors. Then the research team injected varying concentrations of sulforaphane extracted from broccoli into the mice.

The results? There was a dramatic decrease in the number of cancer stem cells after treatment with sulforaphane, but there was little effect on the normal cells. What’s more, the cancer cells from mice treated with sulforaphane were unable to generate new tumors.

Next, the scientists tested sulforaphane on human breast cancer cell cultures in the lab. Once again, they found the numbers of cancer stem cells plummeted after exposure to the broccoli compound.

“This research suggests a potential new treatment that could be combined with other compounds to target breast cancer stem cells. Developing treatments that effectively target the cancer stem cell population is essential for improving outcomes,” study co-author Max S. Wicha, M.D., Distinguished Professor of Oncology and director of the U-M Comprehensive Cancer Center, said in the press statement.

The scientists pointed out that concentrations of sulforaphane used in the study were higher than what can be normally achieved by eating broccoli or broccoli sprouts. However, previous research suggests the body can absorb high enough concentrations of sulforaphane from broccoli extract to impact cancer. Currently, the U-M research team is working to develop a method to extract and preserve sulforaphane. They are also planning a future clinical trial to test sulforaphane both as a prevention and treatment for breast cancer.

(Yes, find a way to produce a synthetic version, patent it, and make millions … Randolph)

NaturalNews has previously reported on additional health benefits of broccoli. For example, broccoli sprouts have been found to potentially play a protective role in the prevention of gastric cancer by reducing colonization of the cancer and ulcer-linked bacteria Helicobacter pylori (H. pylori) in the body.

Research by University of California at Los Angeles (UCLA) scientists also found that sulforaphane in broccoli appears to protect against respiratory inflammation that causes asthma, allergic rhinitis, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) and other conditions that make it hard to breathe.

When an individual, trained as a doctor, is diagnosed as having cancer, new meaning is given to life. Dreams, plans and priorities change overnight. Suddenly, the greatest wish becomes as simple as wanting to feel well, be able to eat, and be free of pain. Finding the perfect partner in life, a beautiful home and lovely children are things that are now all placed on the back burner.

It is a sad fact in life that when things are fine, people have no time to appreciate how lucky they are. Only when things go wrong do they start looking for peace of mind, wellness, and God. I am always surprised that so many people choose to go on a path of reckless living, and eating (all sorts of rubbish) like there is no tomorrow. They will learn eventually, sometimes too late.

The UK-trained doctor I was talking about is Dr. Mas Afzal, who I would like to refer to as a friend.

Please visit his inspiring blog: http://www.masafzal.blogspot.com/

———— ——— ——— ——— ——— ——— –
Annual checkups and tests such as colonoscopies and PSA assays are important, but it’s not a good idea to rely on tests alone to protect you from cancer.

It’s just as important to listen to your body and notice anything that’s different, odd, or unexplainable.

(You should also listen to those close to you, such as a wife or partner, because others sometimes notice things we’re unaware of–or don’t want to admit.)

You don’t want to join the ranks of cancer patients who realize too late that symptoms they’d noticed for a long time could have sounded the alarm earlier, when cancer was easier to cure.

1. Upset stomach or stomach ache

One of the first signs colon cancer patients remember experiencing when they look back is unexplained stomach aches.

Those with pancreatic cancer describe a dull ache that feels like it’s pressing inward.

Many liver cancer patients say they went in complaining of stomach cramps and upset stomachs so frequently that their doctors thought they had ulcers. Liver cancer patients and those with leukemia can experience abdominal pain resulting from an enlarged spleen, which may feel like an ache on the lower left side..

If you have a stomachache that you can’t attribute to a digestive problem or that doesn’t go away, ask your doctor to order an ultrasound.

Finding a liver or pancreatic tumor early can make all the difference in treatment.

2. Chronic “acid stomach” or feeling full after a small meal

The most common early sign of stomach cancer is pain in the upper or middle abdomen that feels like gas or heartburn. It may be aggravated by eating, so that you feel full when you haven’t actually eaten much. What’s particularly confusing is that the pain can be relieved by antacids, confirming your conclusion that it was caused by acid in the stomach, when it’s more than that.

An unexplained pain or ache in lower right side can be the first sign of liver cancer, known as one of the “silent killers.”

Feeling full after a small meal is a common sign of liver cancer as well.

If you have frequent bouts of acid stomach, an unexplained abdominal ache, or a full feeling after meals even when you’re eating less than normal, call your doctor.

3. Unexplained weight loss

If you notice the pounds coming off and you haven’t made changes to your diet or exercise regime, it’s important to find out why. Unexplained weight loss can be an early sign of colon and other digestive cancers; it can also be a sign of cancer that’s spread to the liver, affecting your appetite and the ability of your body to rid itself of waste.

4. Jaundice

Pancreatic cancer, another one of the “silent killers,” is often discovered when someone notices jaundice and asks the doctor to do a battery of tests. Jaundice is most commonly thought of as a yellowing of the skin or whites of the eyes, but darker-than- normal urine that’s not the result of dehydration is also a sign. Clay-colored stools are another little-known sign of jaundice. Oddly, jaundice can also cause itching, because the bile salts in the bloodstream cause the skin to itch.

Some people with pancreatic cancer say they noticed the itching before they noticed the jaundice itself.

5. Wheezing or shortness of breath

One of the first signs lung cancer patients remember noticing when they look back is the inability to catch their breath. “ I couldn’t even walk to my car without wheezing; I thought I had asthma, but how come I didn’t have it before? ”, is how one man described it. Shortness of breath, chest pain, or spitting blood are also signs of testicular cancer that’s spread to the lungs.

6. Chronic cough or chest pain

Several types of cancer, including leukemia and lung tumors, can cause symptoms that mimic a bad cough or bronchitis.

One way to tell the difference: The problems persist, or go away and come back again in a repeating cycle. Some lung cancer patients report chest pain that extends up into the shoulder or down the arm.

7. Frequent fevers or infections

These can be signs of leukemia, a cancer of the blood cells that starts in the bone marrow. Leukemia causes the marrow to produce abnormal white blood cells, which crowd out healthy white cells, sapping the body’s infection-fighting capabilities. Doctors sometimes catch leukemia in older adults only after the patient has been in a number of times complaining of fever, aches, and flu-like symptoms over an extended period of time.

8. Difficulty swallowing

Most commonly associated with esophageal or throat cancer, having trouble swallowing is sometimes one of the first signs of lung cancer, too. Men diagnosed with esophageal cancer look back and remember a feeling of pressure and soreness when swallowing that didn’t go away the way a cold or flu would have. Consult your doctor also if you have a frequent feeling of needing to clear your throat or that food is stuck in your chest; either of these can signal a narrowing of the esophagus that could mean the presence of a tumor.

9. Chronic heartburn

If you just ate half a pizza, heartburn is expected. But if you have frequent episodes of heartburn or a constant low-level feeling of pain in the chest after eating, call your doctor and ask to be screened for esophageal cancer.

Gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) — a condition in which stomach acid rises into the esophagus, causing heartburn and an acidic taste in the throat — can trigger a condition called Barrett’s esophagus, which can be a precursor of esophageal cancer…

10. Swelling of facial features

Some patients with lung cancer report that they noticed puffiness, swelling, or redness in the face. The explanation for this is that small cell lung tumors commonly block blood vessels in the chest, preventing blood from flowing freely from the head and face.

11. Swollen lymph nodes or lumps on the neck, underarm, or groin

Enlarged lymph nodes indicate changes in the lymphatic system, which can be a sign of cancer. For example, a lump or an enlarged lymph in the neck or underarm is sometimes a sign of thyroid, head, or throat cancer.

A painless lump on the neck, underarm, or groin can be an early sign of leukemia.

12. Excessive bruising or bleeding that doesn’t stop

This symptom usually suggests something abnormal happening with the platelets and red blood cells, which can be a sign of leukemia. One man with leukemia noticed that his gums bled when he brushed his teeth; another described bruising in strange places, such as on his fingers and hands.

The explanation: Over time, leukemia cells crowd out red blood cells and platelets, impairing the blood’s ability to carry oxygen and clot.

13. Weakness and fatigue

“I had to stop halfway across the yard and sit down when I was mowing the lawn,” said one man when describing the fatigue that led to his discovery of pancreatic cancer. Generalized fatigue and weakness is a symptom of so many different kinds of cancer (and other ills) that you’ll need to look at it in combination with other symptoms.

But any time, you feel exhausted without explanation and it doesn’t respond to getting more sleep, talk to your doctor.

14. Rectal bleeding or blood in stool

“I thought it was hemorrhoids” is one of the most common statements doctors hear when diagnosing colorectal cancer.

Blood in the toilet alone is reason to call your doctor and schedule a colonoscopy.

Another sign of blood in the stool many people miss is stools that are darker in color.

15. Bowel problems

Constipation, diarrhea, and changes in stools can all be signs of cancer.

As with many other cancer symptoms, the way to tell if this is cause for concern is if it goes on for more than a few days without a clear cause, such as flu or food poisoning.

People diagnosed with colon cancer say they noticed more frequent stools, as well as a feeling that their bowels were not emptied completely.

One of the early signs of pancreatic cancer is fatty stools, which can be recognized as frequent, large stools that are paler than normal and smelly. This is a sign that your body’s not absorbing your food normally, and it should be brought to your doctor’s attention.

16. Difficulty urinating or changes in flow

Hands-down, the most common early sign of prostate cancer is a feeling of not being able to start peeing once you’re set to go. Many men also report having a hard time stopping the flow of urine, a flow that starts and stops, or a stream that’s weaker than normal. Any of these symptoms is reason to call your doctor for an exam and a screening test for prostate-specific antigen.

17. Pain or burning during urination

This symptom can also indicate a urinary tract infection or sexually transmitted disease, of course, but in any case it warrants an immediate trip to the doctor. This symptom is often combined with the feeling that you need to go more often, particularly at night. These same symptoms can also indicate inflammation or infection in the prostate or benign prostatic hyperplasia, the name for what happens when the prostate grows bigger and blocks the flow of urine. However, you need to get checked out to tell the difference.

18. Blood in urine or semen

Men are often warned about blood in the urine, but they may not realize that blood in semen is also a danger sign for prostate cancer. Blood in the urine or semen isn’t always visible as blood; urine may just be a pink, dark red, or smoky brown color, while blood in the semen may just look like a pinkish streak.

19. Erection problems

As prostate cancer progresses, another very common sign is difficulty getting or sustaining an erection. This can be a difficult subject to talk about, but it’s important to bring it to your doctor’s attention. It could be a sign of sexual dysfunction with another cause, of course, but it’s a reason to have an exam and a prostate-specific antigen (PSA) test.

20. Pain, aching, or heaviness in the groin, hips, thighs, or abdomen

One sign of prostate cancer is frequent pain in the hips, upper thighs, or the lowest part of the back. Men with testicular cancer report noticing a heavy, aching feeling low in the belly or abdomen, or in the scrotum or testicles themselves. They sometimes describe it as a feeling of downward pulling or as a generalized ache throughout the groin area.

Prostate cancer that has spread to the lymph nodes often makes itself known as discomfort in the pelvis or swelling in the legs.

21. Testicular swelling or lump

The lumps that indicate testicular cancer are nearly always painless.

It’s also common for a testicle to be enlarged or swollen, but lacking any specific lump that you can see or feel.

Some men report feeling discomfort from the enlargement, but not an outright pain.

22. Unexplained back pain

Back pain can mean all sorts of things, of course — most often pulled muscles or disc problems. But unexplained, persistent back pain can be an early sign of cancer as well, so get it checked out.

Pain in the lower back and hips can be a sign of prostate cancer, while pain in the upper back can signal lung cancer.

A pain in the upper abdomen and back is one of the few early signs of pancreatic cancer.

23. Scaly or painful nipple or chest, nipple discharge

Men do get breast cancer; they also get a condition called gynecomastia, which is a benign lump in the breast area. Breast cancer is usually detected as a lump, but if it’s spreading inward it can also cause chest pain.

Other signs of breast cancer include patches of red, scaly, or dimpled skin or changes to the nipple such as turning inward or leaking fluid.

Bring any lump, swelling, or skin or nipple problem, or any chest pain, to your doctor’s attention.

24. A sore or skin lump that doesn’t heal, becomes crusty, or bleeds easily

Most of us know how to watch moles for changes that might indicate skin cancer.

But other signs, such as small waxy lumps or dry scaly patches, are easier to miss.

Familiarize yourself with the different types of skin cancer — melanoma, basal cell carcinoma, and squamous cell carcinoma — and be vigilant about checking skin all over the body for odd-looking growths or spots.

25. Changes in nails

Unexplained changes to the fingernails can be a sign of several types of cancer.

A brown or black streak or dot under the nail can indicate skin cancer .

A newly discovered “clubbing,” which means enlargement of the ends of the fingers, with nails that curve down over the tips, can be a sign of lung cancer..

Pale or white nails can be an indication that your liver is not functioning properly, sometimes a sign of liver cancer.

“In 1997, I was diagnosed with Stage 3B Lung Cancer. During surgery, the doctor removed my right lung, part of the lining of my heart and a 5cm tumor. There was residual cancer left on my heart, which was inoperable. I was given eighteen months to live. I chose not to be treated with the conventional radiation and chemotherapy. I decided instead to go to San Diego to the Livingston Foundation Medical Center, where I was treated with vaccines in an alternative immunotherapy program. Needless to say, the treatment was successful. It’s been eight years since the surgery and in those eight years I am still on the vaccine. Each year I send a fluid specimen to the lab and from that they gather the culture to make the vaccines specific to me. Over a year ago, I found Poly-MVA and have been using it since. Last year, when I called the lab because my immune antigen was late getting to me, I was told that it was difficult for them to gather the bacteria to make it. This means that my immune system was better than it had been, and they asked me if I was was taking Poly-MVA. I would recommend Poly-MVA for anyone wanting to be more healthy and have the best possible nutritional support, especially if your systems are compromised like mine were due to the cancer. I would be more than happy to tell my story anywhere or anytime. Thank you Poly-MVA for making my life a little more secure.”

In a society riddled with complicated, expensive and even dangerous detoxification methods, oil pulling offers a technique that is refreshingly simple. Oil pulling is a practice taken from Ayurvedic medicine that involves swishing, or pulling, unrefined oil in your mouth for several minutes. The modern adaptation of oil pulling has only recently become popular in Western society, but already many are reporting amazing results from this unorthodox therapy.

Why should anyone practice oil pulling? What are the benefits?

The alleged benefits of oil pulling cover everything from curing gingivitis to facilitating weight loss. Some users even report a decrease in gray hair! However, since oil pulling is not a scientifically documented procedure, claims like these should probably be taken with a grain of salt. On the other hand, since oil pulling is such an easy and virtually harmless practice, it’s certainly worth a try to see if some real benefits can be had. Here is a list of some of the benefits associated with oil pulling:

- Whiter, straighter teeth
- Healthy, pink gums
- Increased energy
- Decreased migraine headaches
- Clear sinuses
- Less severe asthma
- Decreased allergies
- Improved PMS symptoms
- Regulated menstrual cycles
- Better sleep
- Clear skin

Overall, oil pulling is known as a powerful method of detoxifying the body. Coconut oil expert Dr. Bruce Fife and author of Oil Pulling Therapy says, “Oil pulling is one of the most remarkable methods of detoxification and healing I have ever experienced in my career as a naturopathic physician.”

How to Practice Oil Pulling:

Traditionally unrefined sunflower or sesame oil was used for oil pulling, but today many other oils are used as well. Unrefined olive or coconut oil come highly recommended if you don’t want to use the traditional oils.

- Ideally oil pulling should be done first thing in the morning on an empty stomach.
- About one tablespoon of oil should be used.
- A couple drops of essential oil or a healing oil like oregano can be added if desired.
- Swish the oil slowly and methodically, not vigorously.
- Try to make sure the oil reaches every region of your mouth.
- Be careful not to swallow the oil.
- Continue swishing the oil for at least 10 minutes, preferably more like 20 minutes.
- The oil will become very thin and foamy as you swish.
- Spit the oil out and rinse your mouth thoroughly with pure water.
- Brush with a natural toothpaste afterwards.

Oil pulling can be done as often as you like. Daily sessions are recommended if you have specific health problems you are trying to address with oil pulling. This traditional practice is also an excellent measure to add to your daily routine to facilitate detoxification and overall health.

I have known about this soup some time ago but could not try it because it wasn’t easy to find the ingredients in a dry market. My friend from Australia, who has recovered from cancer, swears by this soup. Until today, his wife still prepares this soup, not so much for his cancer, but as a normal soup to be enjoyed with meals. He says it tastes very good. I managed to get all the ingredients in a local supermarket recently, and got someone to make it for me.

Miracle soup for cancer

Dear friends,

Would like to share this super food formula with you. Hope u can try it too.
Tateishi Kazu

When cancer strikes a family, what course of action should one take? Dr. Tateishi Kazu’s father and brother both died of cancer. And then he found himself suffering from cancer of the duodenum and spreading. His stomach was removed, but the cancer cells had spread to his lungs. He resolved to fight for his life. He researched, studied and tested over 1,500 types of herbs and plants. Eventually he discovered the right combination of ingredients and formulated a unique healing vegetable soup and brown rice tea with its own molecular powers. The vegetables are rich in green chlorophyll, amino acids, iron, phosphorous, calcium, all in a natural form.

He based his soup on the principles of Five Elements theory, the harmonizing balance of the forces of yin and yang, acid and alkaline, that engenders health as opposed to the imbalance, which leads to disease. The five elements in our environment are wood, fire, earth, metal and water. Because of the balance of the five elements, the earth is able to produce life. Dr. Tataishi Kazu used the essence of the five elements. Each essence possesses its own color: green, red, yellow, white and black. These relate to the corresponding internal organs: heart, liver, spleen, lung and kidneys. He used the concept of the five different colors as matched to specific vegetables:

Green=Daikon Radish Leaves
Red=Carrot
Yellow=Burdock Root
White=Daikon Radish
Black=Shitake Mushrooms

This is a remedy for all age groups. When the soup is ingested, it produces thirty different elements for fighting disease. Within three days, it can stop the growth of cancer cells. Even for some last-stage cancer patients, it can lead to 100% remission. Patients who have subsisted on feeding tubes for nourishment, when given the soup, after two days regained their strength. Over 10,000 last-stage cancer patients have used this remedy. 99% are alive and were able to return to work.

What This Remedy May Do:

1. Heal Cancer
2 Restore injured joints and bone structure
3. Slow down the aging process
4. Rejuvenate the skin
5. Heal Cataracts
6. Heal liver disorders
7. Lower high blood pressure
8. Improve heart conditions
9. Reduce brain tumors and other head-injury problems
10 Reduce high white blood cell counts
11. Improve T-cell function

——————————————————————————–

Vegetable Soup Recipe
(2 day’s quantity)

16 ounces white daikon
8-10 ounces white daikon greens
8-10 ounces carrot
8 ounces burdock root (gobo in Japanese, ngoupong in Chinese)
3-5 fresh shitake mushrooms (sundried)
If not sundried, expose dried mushrooms to sun again.

Directions:
Don’t peel anything! Don’t add any seasoning!
Fill a pot with 14 cups of water. When it comes to a boil, reduce the flame and simmer for two hours. Strain and drink.

Good Food, Bad Food – We are indeed what we eat

I find it rather interesting that so many people find it difficult to visualize the concept of eating right.

Imagine owning a brand new car with a brand new engine. Every day, three times a day, you pour bad oil and bad stuff into the engine. Three times a day, every day. How long do you think this engine will last before it breaks down? Soon, we find the engine not as smooth as before, not as powerful and making noises you never heard before. The engine is talking to you. It is calling out for help. Your body is no different.

We eat three times a day (some people more). Each time, we pour food into our mouths. That’s three times a day times the number of years we have lived. We were all born with the most wonderful immune system there is, an immune system that man will never be able to replicate, no matter how hard we try or hard smart we are. But putting bad food in our bodies on a prolonged basis puts tremendous strain on our organs (especially the kidneys and liver) and our immune system. Facing such abuse, no immune system can function optimally. And when the immune system is compromised, diseases take over. And we still wonder why we get sick!?

Can you visualize the oil, trans fat and all the bad things we consistently pour into our mouths? Yes, they all taste good and that’s precisely why we find it so difficult to discipline ourselves when it comes to food. And the good and healthy food sometimes may taste rather bland, I will admit. But I do not go around preaching that people become vegans or eat only organic food. I believe in balance and moderation.

So what’s so difficult about moderating our diet so that we eat more healthy stuff and less of the bad stuff?

Of course some may now ask – so what is healthy stuff and what is bad stuff? That’s for another day…

Randolph

A fifteen-year journey from disease to health

When David Servan-Schreiber, a dedicated scientist and doctor, was diagnosed with brain cancer, his life changed. Confronting what medicine knows about the illness and the little-known workings of his body’s natural cancer-fighting capabilities, and marshaling his own will to live, Servan-Schreiber found himself on a fifteen-year journey from disease and relapse into scientific exploration and, finally, to health. Combining memoir, concise explanation of what makes cancer cells thrive and what inhibits them, and drawing on both conventional and alternative ways to slow and prevent cancer, Anticancer is revolutionary.

It is a moving story of a doctor’s inner and outer search for balance; radical in its discussion of the environment, lifestyle, and trauma; and compelling and cautionary in its proposal that cancer cells lie dormant in all of us—and that we all must care for the “terrain” in which they exist.

Advocating a sea change in the way we understand and confront cancer, Anticancer is a radical synthesis of science and personal experience, an inspiring personal journey, and certainly a guide to “a new way of life.”

Anticancer tells us:

Why the traditional Western diet creates the conditions for disease and how to develop a science-based anticancer diet

How and why sugar and stress feed cancer—and ways to achieve life balance and good nutrition to combat it

Why the effects of helplessness and unhealed wounds affect our ability to restore health

How to reap the benefits of exercise, yoga, and meditation

How to minimize environmental toxins

How to find the right blend of traditional and alternative health care

Knockout by Suzanne Somers, Attacks Cancer Establishment by Jeffrey Dach MD

Suzanne’s new book, Knockout, relates her personal story with cancer. In the book, she interviews three pioneering MD’s who successfully treat cancer patients with new treatments not recognized by the cancer establishment. The book is a bold and daring move which attacks the cancer establishment.

The Establishment Fights Back- Larry King Cancelled

Suzanne’s scheduled Book Interview on the Larry King Live show was cancelled and replaced by Wolf Blitzer with nonsense content. The cancelled Larry King Show with Suzanne included two of the doctors from her book, Stanislaw Burzynski and Nicholas Gonzalez. Wolf says the show has been rescheduled for Friday night at 9 PM.

Why the cancellation? I suspect the networks are being pressured by the cancer establishment not to air the show. After all, cancer treatment is a big business, and allowing Suzanne Somers to appear will take a huge bite out of annual profits for chemotherapy, radiation and surgery treatments for cancer. I seriously doubt the show will air at all.

The Failed War Against Cancer

Regarding cancer treatment, I sense a general feeling of frustration in the population. On a personal note, I can tell you that many people in my community are stricken and dying from cancer with little help from the mainstream medical system. The medical treatments with cytotoxic chemotherapy are cruel and barbaric treatments, serving to prolong agony and suffering for a few additional months. Friends and family stand by, helplessly, watching their loved one gradually succumb.

This dismal failure of conventional cancer treatment was recently highlighted by the rapid demise of Ed Kennedy with a fatal brain tumor, a glioblastoma. In spite of the best care available in the US, a high profile personality who had actually crafted health care legislation himself, suffered the same dismal 6-12 month survival as anyone else.

The Time is Ripe for Health Reform

Perhaps Suzanne Somers also correctly reads this public frustration with cancer, and her new book is perfectly timed to take advantage of the changing tide of sentiment.

She trots out onto the stage three MD’s working outside of the mainstrem cancer paradigm with considerable success. Here they are:

Stanislaw R. Burzynski, M.D., Ph.D

Dr. Burzynsi isolated peptides which have anticancer activity, and infuses these back into the cancer patient. Results have been impressive for brain tumors, such as the one that killed Ed Kennedy, and another type of cancer called lymphomas.

James W. Forsythe M.D

Dr Forsythe has considerable success treating cancer with a nutritional supplement called Poly-MVA, invented by Merrill Garnett.

Nicholas Gonzalez MD

Dr Gonzalez treats cancer with a protocol developed by William Kelly based on the work of embryologist John Beard called the Trophoblast Theory of Cancer. Gonzalez uses high dose pancreatic enzymes along with a detailed nutritional supplement program. He has had considerable success with cancer remissions in advanced cases.

Rather than hailed as pioneers, all three have been hounded by regulatory agencies and persecuted for ”thinking outside the box”.

… AND IT IS CURABLE
By David Icke

The figures are fantastic. Some eight million people die every year from cancer worldwide, more than half a million in the United States alone. The global number is predicted to rise to twelve million by 2030.

Cancer is the biggest cause of death for people under 85 and in the US one in four people die from cancer – one in four.

We have our freedoms removed by the day to ‘protect the public from terrorism’ when all these people are suffering and dying every year from a disease that the bloodline families and their pharmaceutical cartel systematically refuse to cure.

Together we can, yes, but not if the drug companies are involved. Immense amounts of money are raised through charities every year to fund the search for a ‘cure’ that the establishment has no intention of finding.

I highlighted in a newsletter on August 9th how a man called Dr Richard Day, the head of the Rockefeller-controlled eugenics organisation, Planned Parenthood, had addressed a meeting of doctors in Pittsburgh in 1969 about the coming transformation of global society.

He asked the doctors to turn off recording equipment and not to take notes before he detailed a long list of changes that were planned. One doctor did take notes, however, and later talked publicly about what was said.

Now, 40 years later, we can see how extraordinarily accurate Day was and you can read that August newsletter in the archive on the website. The reason I mention him again here is that he told those doctors in 1969:

‘We can cure almost every cancer right now. Information is on file in the Rockefeller Institute, if it’s ever decided that it should be released.’

Day said that letting people die of cancer would slow down population growth – ‘You may as well die of cancer as something else’. These people no soul and that’s why they do what they do.

Big Pharma has no desire to cure cancer when it is making vast fortunes from treating the symptoms with devastating drugs and cell-killing, people-killing poisons like chemotherapy. But it is not primarily even about money. The bloodline families want people to suffer and die earlier than necessary as a way of culling the population.

This is why when anyone outside the Big Pharma cabal discovers an effective way of treating cancer they are immediately targeted by the medical establishment and government agencies.

One such case is the Italian doctor, Tullio Simoncini, a brilliant and courageous man who has refused to bow to the enormous pressure he has faced, and continues to face, after he realised what cancer is and how it can be dealt with.

Simoncini’s ‘crime’ has been to discover that cancer is a fungus caused by Candida, a yeast-like organism that lives in the body in small amounts even in healthy people. The immune system keeps it under control normally, but when the Candida morphs into a powerful fungus some serious health problems can follow – including cancer.

My friend, Mike Lambert, at the Shen Clinic near my home on the Isle of Wight, says of Candida:

‘Fungus, and Candida in particular, thrive by eating the body of its host (yours) by dissolving it. It also needs your body to breed, as it can’t do this on its own. No wonder in Chronic Fatigue conditions, which can in many cases be attributed to Candida colonisation, the sufferer feels so bad both physically and psychologically.’

Tullio Simoncini says that cancer is this Candida fungal infection and that the conventional medical explanation of cancer as a cellular malfunction is plain wrong.

Candida

Simoncini is a specialist in oncology (treatment of tumors), diabetes and metabolic disorders, but he is more than that. He is a real doctor who seeks to uncover the truth for the benefit of his patients and refuses to parrot the official version of what doctors should do and think.

He challenges the dogma of ‘intellectual conformity’ with all its unproven assumptions, lies, manipulation and falsehoods and he has been extremely critical of the medical establishment as it continues to pursue ‘treatments’ that are useless in curing the global epidemic of cancer.

From the time he entered medicine he realised that something was seriously wrong with the way cancer was treated:

‘I see terrible sufferings. I was in a paediatric oncological ward – all the children died. I was suffering when I was looking at the poor, poor children dying with chemo, with radiation.’

His frustration and sorrow at what he was seeing led him to go in search of new ways to understand, and therefore treat, this devastating disease. He began his journey with an open mind and a blank sheet of paper unsullied by any rigid assumptions pedalled and indoctrinated by mainstream ‘medicine’ and ‘science’.

How many more have to suffer before people stop seeing doctors as all-knowing ‘gods’ and realise the stupendous scale of ignorance involved?

Simoncini realised that all cancers acted the same way no matter where they were in the body or what form they took. There had to be a common denominator. He also observed that the cancer ‘lumps’ were always white.

What else is white? Candida.

Simoncini realised that what mainstream medicine believed to be cell growth going wild – ‘cancerous growth’ – is actually the immune system producing cells to defend the body from Candida attack. He says the sequence goes like this:

* Candida is normally kept under control by the immune system, but when that becomes undermined and weakened the Candida can expand and build a ‘colony’.
* The Candida eventually penetrates an organ and the immune system has to respond to the threat in another way.
* This ‘way’ is to build a defensive barrier with its own cells and this growth is what we call cancer.

It is said that the spreading of cancer to other parts of the body is caused by ‘malignant’ cells escaping from their origin. Simoncini, however, says this is not the case at all. The spread of cancer is triggered by the real cause of cancer, the Candia fungus, escaping from the original source.

What allows cancer to manifest, as I have been saying in my books for years, is a weakened immune system. When that is working efficiently it deals with the problem before it gets out of hand. In this case, it keeps the Candida under control.

But look at what has been happening as cancer numbers worldwide have soared and soared. There has been a calculated war on the human immune system that has got more vociferous with every decade.

The immune system is weakened and attacked by food and drink additives, chemical farming, vaccinations, electromagnetic and microwave technology and frequencies, pharmaceutical drugs, the stress of modern ‘life’, and so much more.

What defences are today’s children going to have when they are given 25 vaccinations and combinations of them, before the age of two – while their immune system is still forming for goodness sake?

This is how the Illuminati families are seeking to instigate a mass cull of the population. By dismantling the body’s natural defence to disease.

Now, here’s the real shocker. What destroys the immune system quicker than anything else?

CHEMOTHERAPY

You can add radiation to that as well. Chemotherapy is a poison designed to kill cells. Er, that’s it.

The ‘cutting-edge’ of mainstream cancer ‘treatment’ is to poison the victim and hope that you kill the cancer cells before you have killed enough healthy cells to kill the patient.

But wait. This chemotherapy poison also kills the cells of the immune system and leaves it shot to pieces. And the Candida is still there.

This devastated immune system cannot respond effectively to the Candida and it takes over other parts of the body to start the process again, so causing the cancer to spread. Even those who appear to have recovered after surgery and chemotherapy and been given ‘the all-clear’ are just a ticking clock.

Their immune system is now shattered and it is only a matter of time before the Candida triggers a relapse. In other words:

Chemotherapy is killing the people it is supposed to be curing.

Of course, it can never ‘cure’ anyone of anything, except life. It is a poison destroying the very system that we need to be healthy and strong if we are to be cured.

When Simoncini realised that cancer is a fungal infection, or infestation, he went in search of something that would kill the fungus and so remove the cancer. He realised that anti-fungal drugs don’t work because the fungus quickly mutates to defend itself and then even starts to feed off the drugs that are prescribed to kill it.

Instead, Simoncini found something much, much simpler – sodium bicarbonate. Yes, the main ingredient in good old baking soda (but I stress not the same as baking soda, which has other ingredients).

He used this because it is a powerful destroyer of fungus and, unlike the drugs, the Candida cannot ‘adapt’ to it. The patient is given sodium bicarbonate orally and through internal means like an endoscope, a long thin tube that doctors use to see inside the body without surgery. This allows the sodium bicarbonate to be placed directly on the cancer – the fungus.

The ancient Egyptians knew about the healing properties of anti-fungal substances and Indian books going back a thousand years actually recommend ‘alkaline of strong potency’ for treating cancer.

In 1983, Simoncini treated an Italian man, Gennaro Sangermano, who had been given months to live with lung cancer. A few months later he wasn’t dead, he was back to health and the cancer was gone.

More success followed and Simoncini presented his findings to the Italian Department of Health in the hope that they would begin scientifically-approved trials to show that it worked. But he was to learn the true scale of medical manipulation and deceit.

The authorities not only ignored his documentation, he was disbarred from the Italian Medical Order for prescribing cures that had not been approved. Yep, I really said that – for prescribing cures that had not been approved..

He was subjected to a vicious campaign of ridicule and condemnation by the pathetic media and then jailed for three years for causing ‘wrongful death’ to patients he had treated. From all angles the word was out – get Simoncini.

The medical establishment said that his claims about sodium bicarbonate were ‘crazy’ and ‘dangerous’. One ‘leading doctor’ even ludicrously referred to sodium bicarbonate as a ‘drug’.

All the time millions of people were dying from cancers that could have been treated effectively. These people don’t give a shit.

Tullio Simoncini is, thankfully, no quitter and he has continued to circulate his work on the Internet and in public talks. I heard of him through Mike Lambert at the Shen Clinic and Simoncini spoke there while I was away in the United States.

I know that he is having remarkable success in dramatically reducing and removing altogether even some real late stage cancers using sodium bicarbonate. This can take months in some cases, but in others, like breast cancer where the tumour is easily accessible, it can be days before it is no more.

People are also curing themselves under Simoncini’s guidance and at the end of this article I have linked to some videos in which you can hear people talk about their experiences and cures.

I wrote a newsletter last April about the fact that cancer is a fungus in an article about the findings of two British scientists and researchers, Professor Gerry Potter of the Cancer Drug Discovery Group and Professor Dan Burke. Their combined findings reveal the following …

Cancer cells have a unique ‘biomarker’ that normal cells do not, an enzyme called CYP1B1 (pronounced sip-one-bee-one). Enzymes are proteins that ‘catalyse’ (increase the rate of) chemical reactions.

The CYP1B1 alters the chemical structure of something called salvestrols that are found naturally in many fruit and vegetables. This chemical change turns the salvestrols into an agent that kills cancer cells, but does no harm to healthy cells.

The synchronicity is perfect. The CYP1B1 enzyme appears only in cancer cells and it reacts with salvestrols in fruit and vegetables to create a chemical substance that kills only cancer cells.

But here’s the point with regard to cancer being a fungus. Salvestrols are the natural defence system in fruit and vegetables against fungal attacks and that’s why you only find them in those species subject to fungus damage, like strawberries, blueberries, raspberries, grapes, blackcurrants, redcurrants, blackberries, cranberries, apples, pears, green vegetables (especially broccoli and the cabbage family), artichokes, red and yellow peppers, avocados, watercress, asparagus and aubergines.

What’s more, the Big Pharma/Big Biotech cartels know all this and they have done two major things to undermine this natural defence from the fungal attack that is cancer.

1. The chemical fungicide sprays used in modern farming kill fungus artificially and this means the plants and crops do not have to trigger their own defence – salvestrols. You only find them in any amount today in organically grown food.
2. The most widely-used fungicides are very powerful blockers of CYP1B1 and so if you eat enough chemically-produced food it wouldn’t matter how many salvestrols you consumed they would not be activated into the cancer-destroying agent they are designed to be.

This is not by accident, but by calculated design, as were, and are, the attempts by the establishment to destroy Tullio Simoncini. The families want people to die of cancer, not be cured of it. They are mentally and emotionally as sick as you can imagine and see humans as sheep and cattle.

They don’t care how much distress, suffering and death their manipulation and suppression will cause – the more the better from their insane perspective. And that is what these people are … insane.

But Simoncini refuses to buckle and continues to campaign for what has seen is an effective treatment for cancer, while, in the ‘real’ world, the number of cancer deaths goes on rising incessantly because of treatments that don’t work based on assumptions that aren’t true.

It is indeed a crazy, crazy society, but then, from the perspective of the bloodline families, it’s meant to be. Thank goodness for courageous and committed people like Tullio Simoncini. We need more like him – and quick.

What a stark contrast he is to those who serve the medical establishment. When Simoncini spoke at the Shen Clinic a few weeks ago some local doctors dismissed him before he arrived and ridiculed his views.

They were invited along to his talk, which would have been of enormous potential benefit to their patients. Chairs were reserved for them to hear what Simoncini was saying first hand and give them the chance to ask any questions.

What happened?

They never came.
