And if anyone thinks there is no connection between the big pharmaceutical companies and the cancer hospitals, read this research:
The most powerful drug magnates are sitting on the board of directors of Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center in New York City, and other major cancer hospitals and research centers. Is it no wonder that a woman and her son are running from chemotherapy in search of alternative medicine that will never ever receive any good publicity because the people at the top are also running Bristol-Myers, Pfizer, and Merck, the biggest drug producing companies.
What research has shown is that many of the top directors (what they call “overseers”) at Memorial Sloan-Kettering are also top directors at drug companies. For instance, Richard Furlow, who is the President of Bristol-Myers Squibb and Director of the Pharmaceutical Manufacturers’ Association, is a top official of Memorial Sloan-Kettering. Richard Gelb, who is the Chairman of the Board of Bristol-Myers Squibb, is a Vice Chairman of Memorial Sloan-Kettering. James D. Robinson, a Director of Bristol-Myers Squibb, is another Vice President of Memorial Sloan-Kettering. The President of Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center, Paul Marx, is a Director of Pfizer [pharmaceuticals]. And others [officials
of Memorial Sloan-Kettering] are Directors of Bio-Technology General, Life Technologies, Merck, and so forth.
And so what happens, in effect, is that you have a . . . closed circle of people who are, on the one hand, directors of the world’s largest cancer center; on the other hand, they are either officers or directors of the very companies that are producing the drugs which are used and advocated by these centers. . . . There are many, many ways that the drug industry influences the direction of cancer research, and of AIDS research. You have to look at it from an economic point of view . . . isn’t it all about money??
They want to treat you, not cure you. This has been their philosophy all this while. It is no different in Malaysia.
More info (still do not see the connection?):
Percentage of cancer patients whose lives are predictably saved by chemotherapy – 3%
Conclusive evidence (majority of cancers) that chemotherapy has any positive influcence on survival or quality of life – none.
Percentage of oncologists in a study who said if they had cancer they would not participate in chemotherapy trials due to its “ineffectiveness and its unacceptable toxicity” – 75%
Percentage of people with cancer in the U.S. who receive chemotherapy – 75%.
Company that accounts for nearly half of the chemotherapy sales in the world – Bristol-Meyers Squibb.
* Chairman of the board of Bristol-Meyers – Richard L. Gelb.
* Mr. Gelb’s other job: vice chairman, board of overseers, board of managers, Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center, World’s largest private cancer treatment and research center.
Chairman, Memorial Sloan-Kettering’s board of overseers, board of managers – John S. Reed.
* Reed’s other job – director, Philip Morris (tobacco company).
Director, Ivax, Inc., a prominent chemotherapy company – Samuel Broder.
* Broder’s other job (until 1995) – executive director, National Cancer Institute.
Thanks for sharing, I found this article while surfing for mp3 downloads, interesting comments and good points made.
So…your solution would be to populate hospital boards with an assortment of bureaucrats from SEIU and other unions? Or national legislators? Or members of the Homeland Security Dept., or Health and Human Services? What do they know about medicine?
No one knows more about cutting edge issues related to medicine and health care than the top executives of pharmaceutical companies, the engines of drug research and development.
Oh, and try to do a little bit of real research…my uncle, Richard L. Gelb retired as Chairman of Bristol-Myers Squibb in 1994. He was originally diagnosed with stomach cancer in 1986. Memorial Sloan-Kettering was the hospital where his doctor successfully performed surgery to remove his tumor, and he healed and continued to perform in an outstanding way as chairman of the only company he ever worked for until he died at the age of 78 in 2004.
For years Bristol-Myers Squibb has been one of the worldwide leaders in the development of drugs to fight a multitude of cancers that attach the human body – that business strategy was largely due to the vision and drive of Richard L. Gelb.
I could think of a hundred people, none of whom comes from the places you sarcastically mentioned, who would do a better and far more transparent job. And I would include a few people from the alternative treatment stream. But this will never happen, because its goes against the very strategy of controlling the radiation and chemo trade. Flooding hospital boards with people from Big Pharma smacks of vested interests. Simple as that.
I do not know your uncle but he wasn’t a doctor, he was a businessman. He was probably a good man with a big heart but make no bones about it – he was very much a part of the pharmaceutical industry, who earn their indecent profits through other people’s suffering with their useless medicine like chemo. Even Big Pharma cannot dispute the dismal success rate of chemo worldwide.
And you forgot to mention – your uncle died in Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center – of cancer. (Richard Gelb was diagnosed with stomach cancer in 1986, the disease to which he succumbed in April 4, 2004.) This clearly shows that the chemo (probably from Bristol-Meyers) never really got rid of the cancer in his body, although he was in so-called remission. And the hair dyes that Richard Gelb’s father and wife introduced to the US in 1931 (that became Clairol) has likely contributed to many cancers too. You want more research?
Enough said. His own drugs in ‘his own hospital’ could not save him, as it will not save thousands of others every day.

Randolph is very true and well spoken. Why does it make sense to “treat” fast growing cells by killing all cells including your good ones, essentially dropping a nuke on your immune system? It just can’t be good for you in the long run.
But of course, their success rate is pretty good since 5 years free is considered cured. Die a year later? You were already marked as cured and why would they have to change the documentation? It’s not like the FDA, NCI, ACS, or AMA are going to say anything about it because it’s all one big racket!
The problem is many doctors and nurses have no idea. They think everything is good and they have a smile on their face when they inject their poison into you… telling you it’s bad medicine that’s good for you and they are happy to help.
Wake up before it’s too late. Listen to nature. Question authority. Peace.
